No kindergarten classes this week.
Grades 1 -3 will be completing the Let's Go Learn Assessments.
Grades 4 -6 will practice typing for the first 20 minutes of lab time.

Ms. Revier's class will be looking at California butterflies.
Ms. Buginas' class will be doing multiplication practice.
Ms. Goldbeck's class will be studying Electricity with Silicon Spies and the Electricity and Magnetism Millionaire Game.
Ms. Koenig's class will be working on science problems.
Ms. Henry's class and Mr. Aiken's class will be starting their Native American projects.
Ms Tobin's class will be studying Homo Erectus.
Mr. Baum's class will be studying statistics by playing BBC Revisewise Math, Rags to Riches, and Class Zone Finding the Mean.

Week 3 - Sept 21
The kindergarten classes will be coming to the lab for the first time this week! Students will be practicing their mouse control by doing some simple KidPix art lessons.
Students in grades 1 - 3 will continue with the Let's Go Learn assessments. Once this part is done, students can continue to the games and activities.
The upper grade students will be starting typing lessons, 6th graders with TypingWeb.com and the rest with Typing Instructor. Everyone will also be working on math skill practice. Mr. Baum's class will be practicing mean, mode, and median with the links in the K-6 resource list. Ms. Tobin's class will be working on graphing on the Harcourt Math site. The 4th and 5th graders will be doing basic fact practice in FunBrain TicTacToe.

Week 2 -Sept 14
The computer lab is open to all classes this week! Parents - be sure to look for the computer lab signup sheet at Back to School Night.
Grades 4-6 will be practicing their word processing skills by writing poems based on their names. We will also be doing some math practice.
Grades 1-3 will start the assessments in Let's Go Learn. Once students have finished the assessments they can do activities and games based on their individual skills.

Welcome Back!
Welcome back to school!
The computer lab will open this week to the 4th through 6th grade classes. Students will be practicing some basic word processing skills such as changing the font, size, and alignment of their text. We will also become familiar with Spell-It, a set of word games based on spelling lists.
