Fifth graders will be taking the Healthy Kids Survey during class.
Classes will be finishing up all in-progress writing assignments.
Some upper grade classes will research winter and solstice.

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.

Upper grade classes will practice typing and write their birthday projects.
Ms. Hilton's and Ms. Ruff's classes will do Let's Go Learn.
Ms. Cason's class will do phonics practice in Starfall.
Mrs. Link's class will practice math word problems.

Week 14 - Nov 26

Minimum day Tuesday, no school Wednesday.

Week 13 - Nov 19

No kindergarten classes this week.

Ms. Malone's class will type up their narratives.
Most upper grade classes will write up their birthday research.
First grade classes will do phonics in Starfall or Let's Go Learn.
Mrs. Link's class will practice telling time in Sheppard Math.

Week 12 - Nov 12

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.

Upper grade classes will practice typing. Most classes will start a research project about their birthdays.

Most second and third grade classes will study Thanksgiving and Squanto.
Ms. Malone's and Ms. Gray's classes will type up writing from class.
Mr. O'Connor's class will research the Ocean Biome.

Week 11 - Nov 4

No classes on Tuesday due to parent-teacher conferences.
Minimum days all week.

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.

Kindergarteners will do math practice in Harcourt Math.
Third graders will practice typing in Typing Web.
Upper grade students will do typing practice in Typing Web and do research on daylight savings time.

Week 10 - October 28

NO CLASSES ON  TUESDAY - the district is scheduled to install the new computers.
No classes on Thursday due to Halloween parades and festivities.

Week 9 - Oct 21

UPDATE: COMPUTER LAB WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY OCT 25 THROUGH TUESDAY OCTOBER 22. The district is replacing all the computers!

Upper grades will practice typing and will finish all writing and research projects to date.

Week 8 - Oct. 14

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week and will do phonics practice in Starfall.

Upper grade classes will practice typing in Typing Web. They will complete all unfinished writing projects and research worksheets.


NOTE: No computer lab next week! The district will be replacing the computers in the lab.

Week 7 - October 7

No kindergarten classes this week.

Upper grade classes will practice typing. They will practice their research skills by learning about Christopher Columbus.

Mrs. Link's class will finish their fall poems.
Ms. Cason's class will do math practice in Harcourt Math.
First and second grade classes will finish the Let's Go Learn assessments.

Week 6 - Oct 1

Several first and second grade classes will be finishing the Let's Go Learn assessments.

Fourth through sixth grade classes will practice typing in Typing Web and then practice word processing by do a creative writing exercise from a writing prompt.

Ms. Malone's class will finish their writing projects.

Week 4 - Septemeber 17

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.

Most first and second grade classes will be doing the Let's Go Learn assessments.
Third grade classes will start Typing Web.
Fourth through sixth grade classes will practice typing.
Most upper grade classes will do research on Constitution Day.

Week 3 - Sept 10

First through third grade classes start computer lab this week.
Fifth and sixth grade classes will be doing the typing assessment in Typing Web.
Fourth grade students will write an essay.
Most first and second grade classes will start the Let's Go Learn assessments.
Other classes will do math practice.

Week 2 - Sept 3

Upper grade classes will log in to Typing Web and start practicing typing.

Week 1 - Aug 26

Students in grades 4 through 6 will start computer lab this week.
We will be reviewing computer lab rules and login procedures.
Students will create a wordle to practice some basic word processing skills and have some fun.

Grades 1 through 3 will start the week of September 9 and kindergarten classes will start after Back to School night.

Welcome back to school!
Computer lab will open in another week, once we get all the login information straight.
I'm looking forward to another great year!

Last week of school!

It's been a great year in the computer lab! Students have practiced math and writing skills they were studying in class. They've practiced typing and word processing skills. They learned how to use the internet appropriately while doing research. We've also had a lot of fun!

Over the summer don't forget to keep reading! Kensington Reads and the county library reading programs are lots of fun. Try out Bedtimemath.com with your whole family. Go the the park, go to the museum, most of all have lots of fun.

See you in August!

Week 36 - May 29

Most 5th and 6th grade classes will be presenting their power point projects.
This is the last week of computer lab for grades 1-3 so they will have free choice.

Week 35 - May 21

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.
Most 5th and 6th grade classes will be finishing their Powerpoint projects.
Most 3rd grade classes will be finishing their writing projects.

Because of numerous field trips and class events, many classes will be having free choice for their last computer class.

Week 34 - May 13

No kindergarten classes this week.

5th and 6th grade classes will work on their powerpoints.
Ms. Hilton's and Ms. Nichols' classes will work on their poems and stories.

Week 33 - May 6

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.
STAR testing concludes!

Kindergarten classes will practice phonics and reading skills in Starfall.

Ms. Nichols', Ms. Hilton's, and Ms. Tobin's classes will do word processing.
Ms. Malone's class will work on their business letters.
Ms. Koenig's class will work on their California project timelines.
Mrs. McKnight's class will practice using dictionary.com.

Most 5th and 6th grade classes will start powerpoint projects.

Week 32 - April 28

STAR testing continues.
No kindergarten classes this week.

Most upper grade classes will do math review.
Ms. Hilton's and Ms. Nichol's classes will type up stories.
Ms. Malone's class will work on their independent research projects.
Ms. Shastri's class will do Typing Web.
Ms. Gillespie's and Mrs. Link's class will do math in Sheppard Math.
Ms. Billings' class will do research for their animal reports.

Week 31 - April 22

Kindergarteners come to the lab this week.

STAR testing continues.

Ms. Gillespie's class will work on money in Starfall.
Mrs. Link's class will have free choice in Starfall math.
Ms. Billings' class will do art in KidPix.
Ms. Buginas' class will do grammar and statistics practice.
Ms. Cason's class will do the EarthDay activities in Starfall.
Kindergarten classes will do math practice in Harcourt and Sheppard Math.
Ms. Koenig's class will work on their California projects.
Ms. Malone's class will work on their independent research projects.
Ms. Hilton's class will learn about Earth Day.

Most upper grade classes will do an EarthDay scavenger hunt.

Week 30 - April 15

No kindergarten classes this week.

STAR testing begins this week so not all classes will come to the lab.

Ms. Billings' class will practice greater than/less than and fractions in Sheppard Math.
Ms. Malone's class will work on their independent research project or practice fractions in Sheppard Math.
Ms. Cason's class will do math practice in Harcourt.

Ms. Buginas' class will work on the writing activities in K-6 Resources.
Fifth graders will practice unlike fractions in FunBrain.
Mr. Baum's class will work on their stock market project.

Week 29 - April 8

Welcome back from spring break!

Upper grade classes will finish up all computer lab projects.

Fifth graders will practice fractions and decimals.
Mr. Gill's class will finish their mission 8-square.
Ms. Tobin's and Mr. Aiken's classes will finish their biography projects.

Third grade students will do fraction practice in Sheppard Math or multi-step math word problems.
Ms. Ruff's class will do the Let's Go Learn assessments.

Ms. Malone's class will do Native American research.
Ms. Hilton's class will do math practice in Sheppard Math.
Ms. Shastri's class will work with figures and geometry in Harcourt Math.
Ms. Nichols' class will practice multiplication and division in FunBrain.
Kindergarten classes will either do money practice in Sheppard Math or phonics practice in Starfall.

5th and 6th graders will work on their biography projects.
Ms. Buginas' 4th graders will look at electricity and magnets and the 5th graders will look at elements and chemistry.
