Week 23 - Feb 11
No kindergarten classes this week.
All upper grade classes will practice typing in Typing Web.
Most upper grade classes will practice research skills by studying Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg address.
Ms. Nichols' class will finish their research and writing on the Olympics.
Mr. O'Connor's class will finish research on their biome projects.
Ms. Malone's class will finish their opinion writing about the drought.

Kindergarten classes come to the lab this week.
Kindergarten students will practice counting coins in Sheppard Math.
Mr. Ellsworth-Yow's, Ms. Malone's, and Mr. O'Connor's classes will work on their writing assignments.
Most other second and third grade classes will practice math facts in Sheppard Math.
Most fourth through sixth grade classes will practice specific search techniques and typing in URLs by doing a worksheet on the Olympics.

First and second grade students will practice math facts in Sheppard Math.
All third through sixth grade classes will take the online practice SBAC test this week. Note to parents: there's no identification associated with this; all students are logging in as guest. The district wants to try out the technology and logistics before students take this test in the spring. Our students are giving some very valuable feedback about the mechanics of the test and they're being very good sports!

Most fourth through sixth grade classes will be learning about Google maps.
First grade classes will be doing phonics practice with Starfall or Let's Go Learn.

Fifth and sixth grade classes will take the tests in Typing Web. (Note from Cathy: they are universally amazed at their progress!)
Mr. Gill's class is working on their book reports.
Mr. O'Connor's class is researching the author of their book report book.
Kindergarteners are doing 10-frames and beginning addition in Harcourt.
